Northern Youths Declare EFCC Best Anti-Corruption Agency in Africa The Northern Youth Council, NYC, the umbrella body of all youth organisations in the northern part of Nigeria, on May 4, 2017, adjudged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, as the “Best Anti-Corruption Agency in Africa”. Suspended NIA Boss, Ayo Oke's Wife, Folashade Bought Osborne Property for $1.658m The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,  on Friday, May 5, 2017,  told Justice Muslim Hassan  of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi,  Lagos how the wife of the suspended Director-General  of the National Intelligence Agency,  NIA,  Ayo  Oke,  Folashade,  allegedly acquired the property situated at  Flat  7B, 13, Osbourne Road, Osbourne Towers, Ikoyi, Lagos, where the sums of $43,449,947, £27,800 and N23,218,000 were recently recovered by the Commission. The EFCC is seeking an order of final forfeiture of the recovered money to the Federal Government. Oke was said to have made a cash payment of $1.658m for the purchase of the flat between August 25 and September 3, 2015 in the name of a company, Chobe Ventures Limited. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) says it has released results of the Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME) conducted on Saturday. The Head, Information and Media of the board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, said this in a telephone interview on Thursday in Lagos that 150,000 candidates registered for the mock examination nationwide. The examination was initially scheduled to hold on April 8 but was postponed to April 29 due to some hitches.  Some of Senate President Bukola Saraki's aides involved in the November 20, 2015 theft of N310 million being transported to the senator have disclosed why they stole the cash. The aides snatched the cash from a bureau de change operator at 5 Nana Close, Maitama in Abuja.
