SEVEN (7) ALREADY DEAD AS THE BLOOD BASH CONTINUES IN AWKA
Gunmen who were suspected to be cult members in Awka Community, Anambra State allegedly killed Seven persons from Friday to Sunday night.
Eye witness told reporters that the war is between a group of young people believed to be cultists from rival groups in Awka environs and other neighboring communities.
It is gathered that despite the security measures been taken in Anambra State which ranks the state as the safest state in Nigeria that this young cultist still parades with heavy arms gotten illegally.
As we speak, Seven (7) people are already dead while many others are with serious cuts and injuries.
A source, who spoke to us of anonymity, said cultists suspected to be members of Icelanders were in the community to avenge their colleague’s death, leading to the killing of the number of persons.
The source stated that the suspected cultists went from house to house, killing their targets, adding that most of the victims were members of the opposing cult gang in the area.
Residents of Awka community are in panic as they don't what will happen next and who will be killed next.
Attempts made to reach the Commissioner of Police and PPRO In Anambra failed respectively.
