FEW ACHIEVEMENTS OF HON. BARR. GABRIEL ONYENWIFE REPRESENTING THE GOOD PEOPLE OF OYI/AYAMELUM AT THE FEDERAL HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES (8TH ASSEMBLY)
Hon. Barr. Gabriel Onyenwife (Owelle Umumbo) was elected on the platform of APGA to represent Oyi/Ayamelum Federal constituency after a successful stint at the state house of Assembly where he represented Ayamelum LGA. He has been impactful, Vocal and articulate discharging his legislative duties where necessary and as at when due in the lower chamber of the house.
His mastered prowess and astuteness in legislation earned him juicy position at the lower chamber of the House despite being a core minority member. He has chaired almost all important committees within 3years of federal legislation and currently the Chairman House Committee on Freedom of information and Reform of Government institutions. He is an asset for the 8th Assembly and for APGA of which he proudly and courageously represents.

Hon. Barr. Gabriel Onyenwife achieved a feat not heard or seen before now:
Oyi and Ayamelum are two sister Local Government Area from Omambala region, Oyi has Five (5) Communities while Ayamelum has Eight (8) Communities with 15 & 11 political wards respectively. Both LGAs are rich in Agriculture and Tourism.
In 2016 Hon. Barr. Gabriel Onyenwife launched the campaign of *One Community One Project* in all the total 13 communities in the constituency which is currently ongoing as many communities already have their project commissioned.
The choice of projects in the Five (5) communities in Oyi LGA are already completed and many still under construction.
In Ayamelum, Communities like *Umubo and Omasi got electricity projects respectively after years of darkness.* (NOTE: Eluemuno, Uyanze and Chizor represented Oyi/Ayamelum for 16 uninterrupted years, yet such development didn’t surface but within 3years Gabriel Onyenwife salvage the people of Umumbo and Omasi with electricity project) other communities in Ayamelum all have their choice of projects ongoing.
Ace Lawmaker attracted and sponsored numerous and impactful projects worthy of note in not just Oyi/Ayamelum but in South East Nigeria.
1. Call for the Rehabilitation of Lower Anambra Irrigation Project (LAIP) of Anambra/Imo/River Basin. (THE Rehab cost was valued and at #400,000,000) A credit for Anambra and APGA
2. A bill for an Act to Amend the Lagos Port Operations (Special Provisions)
3. A bill for an act to Amend the Architects Registration laws of the Federation of Nigeria.
4. Paid the tuition fees of all Ayamelum students in Abuja law school.
5. Construction of motorized borehole in Awkuzu, (Oyi LGA) completed.
6. Solar powered boreholes in three (3) communities of Oyi LGA (Ogbunike, Nteje & Nkwelle) completed.
7. After wasteful years of his predecessors, Gabriel Onyenwife remains the only Oyi/Ayamelum lawmaker to attract FERMA project and road rehabilitation on the Ezu-Anaku-omor Federal.
8. Skill Acquisition training and empowerment in Household products and ICT . (More than 1,000 constituents benefited).
9. More than 300 youths got direct Federal Jobs, worthy empowerments and Education scholarships.
10. Aside leveraging on his core mandate to represent Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency effectively he has been providing a lot of financial assistance to Ayamelum farmers which brought an end to the much poor farm produce of most farmers in Ayamelum
